Ep 7// 3 Steps to Reduce Your Fear of Childbirth

Updated: Feb 21, 2020

On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the highest, how fearful of birth are you?

What if you could go from, say, an 8 to a 2?

The good news is...you can.

What would that do for your pregnancy and birth experience?

I understand why you might have some fear when it comes to birth because there is the factor of the unknown.

We are surrounded by so many negative and scary messages in our culture. But fear does not serve anyone well going into birth.

3 practical steps to keep fear in check and get you on your way to a blissful, empowered birth:

1. DREAM AND DECIDE - if you don’t know where you’re going, how will you get there? How do you envision your birth? Who is there? What is the atmosphere like? What are you feeling? Now how will you make this vision your reality?

2. EDUCATION AND EMPOWERMENT - it’s important to learn about the physiological process and also know your own body, so you know the best decisions to make for you.

3. FOLLOW THROUGH - get your partner involved and your body prepared! Spinning Babies is a great place to start.

You don't have to be afraid, mama! You are on your way to an empowered birth.
